On October 22, 2020, Governor Gretchen Whitmer signed House Bills (HB 6030-6032) limiting the liability/exposure building owners, managers and employers have while operating during the COVID-19 pandemic.  To avail themselves of these defenses, however, building owners, managers, and employers must comply with federal, state, and local laws, which are unlikely to remain static while the pandemic continues.
