Trade Fair
BOMA’s Trade Fair, held at Detroit’s iconic Eastern Market, is the most dynamic and valuable networking event in the industry. It brings together building owners, property managers, asset managers, and commercial real estate decision-makers with the service providers and vendors who support the operation, maintenance, and improvement of commercial. Every Trade Fair has a theme such as Circus, Cinco de Mayo and Casino that exhibitors and attendees truly participate in.
For commercial real estate professionals, the trade fair provides an efficient way to meet face-to-face with multiple trusted vendors in a single setting, learn about new products and innovations, compare service solutions, and discover partners that can help improve building performance and tenant satisfaction.

Spring Golf Classic
Designed to blend business with camaraderie, this golf outing is held at a championship-style golf course and follows the time-honored etiquette and traditions of the game. Foursomes made up of commercial real estate professionals and supplier partners, create a natural environment to strengthen existing relationships and develop new ones. Throughout the course, participants enjoy sponsored holes, contests such as longest drive and closest to the pin, and interactive sponsor experiences like the fun Drone Drop that rewards one person with $1000!
More than just a round of golf, the Spring Classic is an opportunity to connect with colleagues, expand professional networks, and celebrate the start of the industry’s busy season. The day starts with a light breakfast networking reception, and concludes with a dinner and awards presentation, providing additional time for conversation and recognition.

Autumn Open
The Autumn Open Golf Outing offers a fun and refreshing twist on the traditional golf event. This outing is played on a non-traditional style course, creating a more relaxed and accessible environment for members and industry partners to connect. The atmosphere is intentionally lighthearted, making it easy for attendees to focus on building relationships while enjoying the game.
Foursomes are typically made up of commercial real estate professionals and service providers, creating opportunities for meaningful conversations throughout the round. The course often features interactive sponsor holes including the DRONE DROP, games, and creative contests that add an extra level of entertainment to the day. Starting with a light breakfast, a treat at the turn and a fun filled casual dinner, The Autumn Open is a perfect way to celebrate the close of the golf season.
Pull for BOMA Clay Shoot Tournament
The PULL for BOMA Clay Shooting Tournament is a unique and exciting networking event that brings the commercial real estate community together for a friendly 15-round clay shooting competition. Designed for both experienced shooters and first-time participants, the event offers a fun outdoor environment where members and industry partners can build relationships while enjoying a different kind of sporting challenge.
The tournament emphasizes camaraderie and networking that starts with breakfast sandwiches and concludes with a grilled steak dinner, fun raffle prizes and an award ceremony where the top guns are awarded trophy’s based on the Lewis Class.
The PULL for BOMA Tournament has quickly become a favorite event because it combines sport, networking, and a memorable shared experience, offering members a fresh way to strengthen relationships within the BOMA Metro Detroit community.
Cornhole Tournament
The BOMA Cornhole Tournament is a lively and social event that brings together members of the commercial real estate community for an evening of friendly competition, networking, and fun. Designed to be accessible for everyone, the tournament welcomes players of all skill levels—from seasoned cornhole competitors to those simply looking to enjoy a relaxed evening with industry colleagues in a competition that sees the first place athlete and the runner up take the coveted Championship Belts home.
The Summer Event
Each summer, BOMA Metro Detroit hosts a unique event celebrating Michigan’s
“Water Wonderland” and the spirit of the summer season. These memorable gatherings bring members together for relaxed networking and fun on the water, featuring activities such as boat outings and island parties that showcase the best of Michigan summers while strengthening connections within the commercial real estate community.
