The TOBY Committee assists property professionals in preparing their buildings for entry into the Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) competition. The committee also plans and coordinates the judging process, ensuring that participating buildings are evaluated fairly and according to BOMA’s standards of excellence in commercial real estate.

The mission of the Professional Development Committee is to provide opportunities for members to enhance their skills, expand their knowledge, and develop their leadership potential. The committee supports this mission by offering programs such as BOMI courses, CRE Professional Development Day, Lunch & Learns, and other educational seminars that help advance careers within the commercial real estate industry.

The mission of the Awards Committee is to promote participation in recognizing excellence within the commercial real estate industry. The committee works to highlight outstanding achievements by properties and professionals while encouraging broad engagement in BOMA Metro Detroit’s awards and recognition programs.
