Scholarship Program

Initiated by Michael Patterson, BOMA Metro Detroit's Scholarship Program was unanimously approved and set into motion on August 15, 2024.  Mike was a recipient of a BOMA St. Louis Scholarship as he started his career and brought the idea to the BOMA Metro Detroit Board of Directors where he served the membership for six years.  He was the very first President of the BOMA Foundation prior to his passing in 2026.  By all accounts, Mike was a selfless man that cared deeply about the people in his life. By spearheading BOMA’s scholarship program he inspired the creation of the BOMA Foundation. His participation, vision, and actionable leadership hasand will continue to help people for many years to come. A fitting legacy for a great man.
