Property/Facility Manager of the Year Awards

These awards are given to property managers and facility managers who exemplify outstanding leadership and achievement in commercial real estate management. The awards signify a demonstrated ability and commitment to going beyond the expected standards of service and professionalism. These outstanding leaders serve BOMA and also contribute to other various civic and community affairs.

Eligibility

The candidates for these awards must have been employed as property or facility managers for a minimum of three years at the time of nomination. Nominees must be members of BOMA.

Candidates for the Property and/or Facility Manager of the Year Award will be evaluated in part by Awards Committee Members using the following criteria and tenant questionnaire results:
 

Length of service in management
 
Coworker or supervisor recommendations
 
Tenant recommendations
 
Professional development (Working on RPA or RPA designation, FMA or SMA, CPM candidate or designation, broker’s license, real estate salesman’s license, other real estate-related courses, other educational courses)
 
Participation in civic and community affairs
 
Building: Interior cleanliness/maintenance; exterior cleanliness/ maintenance; life safety plan/procedures; overall competence of building staff; overall building operation
 
Manager: Responsive to complaints/suggestions; friendly/courteous manner; job knowledge; availability/visibility to tenants; professional image
