BOMA of Metropolitan Detroit received top honor for its
annual golf outing at the Michigan Society of Association Executives
(MSAE) Diamond Awards Banquet on September 9, 2003 at the Ritz-Carlton
in Dearborn. Nearly 250 people attended the event, which recognizes
excellence and innovation in associations. Guy Gordon, anchorman for
WXYZ-TV Channel 7, was Master of Ceremonies.
Forty entries competed for top honors in eight categories.
Diamond Awards were given to those associations that distinguished themselves
in eight different categories: Government Relations, Magazine Publishing,
Meetings & Expositions, Membership Development, Print Newsletter,
Non-dues Revenue Program, Website, and Public Relations Campaign. Personal
Achievement Awards were bestowed upon individuals who have distinguished
themselves through leadership and meaningful long-term involvement.
